5 Simple Tips from Head Trainer Peter.

(AS SEEN ON TESTIMONIAL PAGE) I recently asked Peter Head Trainer from the Keith Crows Football Club (Amateur/County) to give me an assessment on how Zone Sports Foam has worked at his club. He replied,

Matt, your foam protection pad is spot on! I have sworn by it from the first time I used it and now that all my trainers and all the players won't strap their ankles without it- there are no more tape cuts.

We are also using it for so many other uses (like for bruised heels, preventing skin allergies, preventing irritations behind the knee and under the wrist, lining our thumb guards and using it between a buddy strap and especially preventing boot blisters on our hard grounds), that it's saving us a bucket load of money and reducing the amount of products I need to buy.

Thanks mate, you have a real winner- Peter, Head Trainer of Keith Crows Football Club

After reading Peters awesome testimonial on Zone Sports Foam, I thought it would be easy to draw on a couple of tips.

Peter has shown some great leadership and has shown that it doesn't matter what level your working at that if you have the right attitude and basic philosophies that you and your club can be the REAL winner.

1. Be resourceful

2. Think outside the square

3. KISS - Keep it simple stupid, don't make things harder than they are!

4. Continually improve and test your skills

5. Prevention will always save you time money!

5 BLISSFULL TIPS for BLISSFULL WALKING

I have recently had quite a few enquires about the benefits of Zone Sports Foam for events such as the Oxfam 100 km walk. So I thought I would quickly put together a few tips for those getting ready or contemplating this type of gruelling event.

Prevention and Preparation are the most important keys to beating this age old problem of friction blisters.

My Top 5 Simple Tips to a blissful blister free walk are;

1. It sounds so basic - but make sure you choose the right shoe and Walk them in. Break them in and get to know how they feet feel.  Walking in them will stretch them to their actual size in your foot.

( It is recommended that you use Zone Sports Foam for the first few times to stop any excess friction and any unwanted blisters- This applies to all boots including Football Boots).

2. Make sure your shoes are Water proofed (as best as possible) as moisture can cause maceration an be a huge problem.

3. Ensure they are comfortable and the right size. If they are too big your foot will slide and create friction on the soles of your toes and heels. Also, if they are too tight it more damage will be created on the top and outside of your feet.

4. Your socks are vital, ensure they aren't cotton as they sweat more and create more heat in your shoe (which creates those little nasty things called blisters).

> Wear two pairs of socks and turn the first pair inside out so the seams of both pairs are rubbing together rather than on your toes. There are many types of breathable socks on the market.

5. Use Zone Sports Foam Protection Pad as it is a protective barrier guarding against hot spots on the back and bottom of your heels, insteps of your feet and the outsides of your toes.

>Cut the the right size and secure well with fixumul or sports tape so that the pad doesn't move.

For the 100 km walks, I would recommend that you tape your ankles and use Zone Sports Foam underneath. Doing this will secure the Protection Pad and also give you the added protection against injuring your ankles on rough terrain.

Best of Health,
